Overview

The MatrikonOPC's webcast "OPC Specifications - OPC Alarms & Events” provides attendees with an overview to the OPC Alarm and Events Specification.

This webcast will provide attendees with an overview of the OPC A&E specification and how it differs from traditional DCS and HMI based alarm. It will explore the different types of Alarms and Events in the OPC Specification.  The module will conclude with a comparison of state diagram between a traditional based alarm and OPC based alarm.

Whether you are an advanced user, or just starting out, the OPC Specifications webcast series will provide you to a theoretical introduction to the most common OPC Specifications.

Mustafa Al-mosawi
Mustafa Al-mosawi is Matrikon’s product manager for Matrikon Analytics.  He has 8 years experience in design, development, commissioning and testing of industrial software products.  Mustafa previously worked in the nuclear industry as a business and systems analyst with Ontario Power Generation-supporting next generation initiatives.  Prior to his current role, he was a senior product designer for the Matrikon Suite of products, including Operational Insight, Alarm Manager, and TaiJi PID.
