The MatrikonOPC Server for Kaye Netpac provides access to Netpac devices using the Netpac ASCII and Binary data format. The MatrikonOPC server is installed on a Windows PC and uses RS-232 to connect to Kaye devices.

The Netpac system is a distributed, industrial I/O network data acquisition system. The Netpac system uses remote modules to condition, measure, linearize and transmit process variables to a host computer. From the host, you have the ability to perform calculations, trend, archive and report.

All Netpac devices, which were manufactured after 1987 under the brand Kaye, are supported. The identification can be made viewing the Kaye logo on the Netpac boards. Netpac was previously manufactured under the name Accurex. There is a new board provided by Kaye that can be installed in Accurex devices to enable communications.

Features of the MatrikonOPC Server for (data source/device) include:

  • Fully compliant with OPC™ Data Access Specification 1.0a; 2.05 and 3.0
  • Permits read and write access items configured within a Netpac Data Acquisition System
  • Requires minimal configuration after installation;
  • Performs extensive error tracking and management
