Overview
This one-hour virtual session is part of the Matrikon OPC Tech Session series, an ongoing series of presentations by Matrikon experts dealing with the technical features and functionality of OPC applications.
This session focuses on Security in OPC applications. It introduces participants to
· OPC Classic security mechanisms and the factors affecting how security is applied.
· Microsoft DCOM Hardening.
· OPC Tunnelling.
· OPC UA security.
Many OPC Classic users are either considering migration to OPC UA or are already in the process of doing so. In addition to providing information on the security mechanisms used in both UA and Classic, this presentation also illustrates some migration strategies from a practical, security-oriented point-of-view.
