SCADA Modbus OPC Server (Telemetry / OPC DA)


The OPC Server for SCADA Modbus provides connectivity to Modbus compliant devices such as any PLCs, RTUs, DCSs, and other Modbus devices. This OPC Server has an Advanced Polling Engine that polls all devices and exclude the disconnected devices from the polling cycle. Once the disconnected device goes back online, it gets added back to the polling cycle. This will prevents any delays when any device goes down when having multiple devices into under one communication channels.

Because this software uses MatrikonOPC's “SCADA" technology, it is capable of communication with RTU's over unreliable, noisy, slow or low bandwidth links. 

This server has been rigorously tested with hardware from vendors including ABB, Emerson, Honeywell, Koyo, Schneider (Modicon), Triconex, Yokogawa, and many others.

This driver is typically used by industries such as pipelines, mines, oil fields, and utilities. Communication often takes place with an RTU and is frequently unreliable, noisy, slow, or expensive (modems, leased lines, radios, satellite, etc). The Matrikon OPC Server for Modbus has been developed to enable both round-robin and demand polling of RTUs.
